At the fall shows, spikes, frills, and all manner of embellishment went virtually extinct. The piled-on accessories of yore? So two seasons ago! Coco Chanel's long-heralded advice to remove one item from your outfit before leaving the house would this season be better reframed to advise losing all but one. "It's uncomplicated and classic." Not to be confused with easy or boring. "It actually forces you to be more creative,". Fall musts include mod minis, tailored peacoats, and skinny black pants—some of which you can simply shop for in the back of your closet.
